Google Find Hub Smart Tag Setup Guide

How to Add an Oscanna Tag to Google Find Hub

To add a compatible Oscanna smart tag to Google Find Hub, unlock your Android phone, switch on Bluetooth and Location Services, activate the tag close to the phone, then tap Connect when the Google Fast Pair notification appears. Follow the on-screen steps to link the tag to your Google Account.

Oscanna Android smart tags connect to compatible Android phones using Google Fast Pair and Google Find Hub. For most customers, Fast Pair is the quickest setup method.

Fast Pair Setup

1. Prepare Your Android Phone

  • Unlock your Android phone.
  • Switch on Bluetooth and Location Services.
  • Connect the phone to Wi-Fi or mobile data.
  • Sign in to your Google Account.
  • Update Google Play services if required.
  • Keep only one unpaired smart tag close to the phone.

2. Put the Tracker into Pairing Mode

Remove the battery pull tab, if fitted. If your tracker has a pairing button, press or hold it as instructed for your model. You should hear an activation sound when the tag enters pairing mode. Rechargeable models should have sufficient charge before setup.

3. Wait for the Fast Pair Notification

Bring the tracker close to your Android phone. A notification should appear after a few moments and may say Wireless Tag, Fast Pair, Connect, Set up or that a nearby device has been found. Do not dismiss it.

4. Connect the Tag

  1. Tap Connect or Set up.
  2. Follow the instructions shown on your phone.
  3. Choose the Google Account you want to use.
  4. Accept the relevant permissions and Find Hub terms.
  5. Give the tag a clear name such as Keys, Luggage, Backpack, Wallet or Bicycle.

Once setup is complete, the tag should appear in Google Find Hub.

Manual Setup When Fast Pair Does Not Appear

  1. Open Settings on your Android phone.
  2. Tap Google, then All services.
  3. Open Find Hub and select Devices.
  4. Tap Scan for nearby devices.
  5. Keep the active tag close to the phone and select it when it appears.
  6. Follow the on-screen instructions to link it to your Google Account.

Menu names can vary slightly depending on the phone manufacturer and Android version.

Test the Tag After Pairing

  1. Open the Google Find Hub app.
  2. Select the tracker from your devices or items.
  3. Tap Play sound or Ring.
  4. Confirm that the tag sounds, appears in Find Hub and shows its current or most recently reported location.

Attach the tracker to your keys, bag or luggage after setup has completed successfully.

Troubleshooting

If the Tag Does Not Appear

  • Move the tracker closer to your phone.
  • Check Bluetooth, Location Services and the internet connection.
  • Make sure nearby-device scanning is enabled.
  • Keep other unpaired tags away during setup.
  • Restart your phone and try again.
  • Replace the battery or recharge the tracker if necessary.
  • Reactivate or reset the tag using the instructions supplied with your model.

If Pairing Takes Too Long

Some trackers remain in pairing mode for only a short time. Reset or reactivate the tag, wait for the confirmation sound, keep it close to the phone and begin Fast Pair again immediately.

If the Tag Was Previously Paired

A tracker linked to another Google Account may need to be removed from that account first. Remove it from Google Find Hub on the previous account, then reset it using the model instructions.

Important Information

Oscanna Google Find Hub-compatible smart tags use Bluetooth and Google’s Find Hub network. They are not live GPS trackers. Location updates depend on nearby compatible Android devices and may not update continuously.
