Apple Find My vs Google Find Hub: Which Tracker Is Right for You?
Share
Choosing a tracker tag starts with one question: which phone network do you use? Apple Find My and Google Find Hub both help locate everyday belongings, but a tag made for one network will not automatically work with the other.

Which network works with your phone?
Choose Apple Find My for iPhone
An Apple Find My compatible tag pairs with the Find My app on a compatible Apple device. It can play a sound when nearby and may receive location updates through Apple's Find My network when farther away.
For a ready-made family or travel set, see the Oscanna Apple Find My Smart Tags 4-Pack.
Choose Google Find Hub for Android
A Google Find Hub tracker is built for compatible Android phones. It is different from an app-only Bluetooth finder and from a tag made solely for Apple Find My, so look for the words Google Find Hub compatible on the product page.
The main Oscanna Android Tracker Tags 2-Pack or 4-Pack is available in black or white for keys, bags and luggage.

Best tracker for keys, luggage and wallets
- Keys: choose a compact tag with a built-in speaker and a suitable keyring or sleeve.
- Luggage: match the tag to your phone network and place it in an internal pocket where the Bluetooth signal is not heavily blocked. Read our UK luggage tracker guide.
- Bags and backpacks: a 2-pack or 4-pack offers better value when several belongings need coverage.
- Wallets: a slim card-shaped tracker is usually more comfortable than a round tag.
- Mixed-phone household: a dual-network tracker gives you a choice of setup network, one network at a time.
Can one smart tag work with iPhone and Android?
Some products can be configured for either Apple Find My or Google Find Hub. That does not mean they report to both networks simultaneously. The owner chooses the supported network during setup and should follow the product's reset instructions before moving it to another phone platform.
How to set up each type of tracker
Complete setup before attaching a tag to important belongings or placing it in checked luggage.
Keep Bluetooth and location services enabled where required, install current phone software and test the ring function while the tag is nearby.
Do smart tags need a monthly subscription?
Compatible Apple Find My and Google Find Hub tracker tags do not normally require a monthly tracker subscription. This differs from many cellular GPS trackers, which may need mobile data, regular charging and an ongoing plan.
Frequently asked questions
Is an Apple AirTag suitable for Android?
No. AirTag is an Apple product designed for the Find My network. Android buyers should choose a tag that explicitly supports Google Find Hub.
Is Google Find Hub the same as a separate Bluetooth tracker app?
No. A tag that uses its own companion app is not automatically a Google Find Hub tag. Check the named network on the product page before ordering.
Can a tracker show a live location?
These Bluetooth finding tags are not live GPS trackers. Their reported location depends on direct Bluetooth range or detection by compatible participating devices.
Which option is best for a household with iPhone and Android users?
Use dedicated tags for each network, or choose a dual-network model that can be configured for either platform. Remember that a dual-network tag normally uses only one network at a time.
