Why buy AI smart glasses? GS4 Max vs SOLIS
Share
Would you like to capture a view, listen to music and take a call through the same pair of glasses? AI smart glasses bring a camera, speakers, microphones and connected features into a wearable frame. For the right person, that can make them a useful companion for everyday outings, travel or weekends outdoors.
Oscanna offers two different styles: GS4 Max AI smart glasses with two lens options and SOLIS AI sports smart glasses. Both combine photos, video, music, calls and app-assisted AI features. The best choice comes down to how you want to wear them.
Why consider smart glasses with a camera?
A camera in the frame lets you take photos and record video from your point of view without holding a separate camera. It is a different way to keep a record of a city break, a scenic stop or a moment you want to revisit.
GS4 Max also has a small outward-facing white recording indicator. The product page shows the frame and controls, and our supplier demonstrations give you a closer look at the actual glasses. If capturing your own view is the feature that appeals most, start with those demonstrations before choosing your pair.
Your music and phone calls, with your ears uncovered
Both models have built-in speakers and microphones for music and compatible phone calls. Pair the glasses with your phone, bring your playlist along and answer an incoming call through the frame.
This is a useful reason to consider smart glasses if you like the idea of combining sunglasses and audio in one device. Sound comes through the integrated speakers rather than a separate pair of in-ear earbuds. Battery use will depend on which features you use, so plan to recharge between outings.
Can AI smart glasses translate a conversation?
App-assisted translation is another reason to explore the category. GS4 Max and SOLIS connect to the HeyCyan companion app on a compatible smartphone. Translation requires an active internet connection through the phone, using Wi-Fi or mobile data. Supported languages and available modes depend on the app and connected services.
Our GS4 Max film illustrates two everyday ideas: asking for a French menu to be translated into English, and hearing a waiter's French question followed by an English translation. The film shows the intended use in a lifestyle scene; the precise output and experience depend on the supported app functions.
You can also take a photo and ask the AI assistant to tell you more about what you have captured. For someone who enjoys exploring new places, this combination of camera and connected assistance may be more appealing than audio-only glasses.
GS4 Max: a black frame with two lens options
GS4 Max is the choice to consider if you prefer a familiar black rectangular frame. The set includes UV sunglasses lenses for outdoors and clear anti-blue-light lenses for PC and screen use.
It is one pair of glasses with interchangeable lenses. The spare lenses are two individual replacement lenses, one for each side. They are not a single connected clip-on unit. Our listing includes a supplier video showing lens removal and refitting.
The two lens options let you use the same frame for different parts of your day: UV sunglasses lenses outdoors, and clear anti-blue-light lenses when looking at your PC or other screens.

SOLIS: a sporty style for your outdoor plans
If you prefer a sportier look, SOLIS combines a white frame with ice blue lenses. It is the style to consider for cycling days, ski trips and weekends outdoors, with camera, audio and connected AI features in the same frame.
Ready for the ski season? Watch the SOLIS film for an introduction to the style and features. Then check the actual product photographs, controls and specifications on the listing to decide whether it suits your plans.
SOLIS includes a separate inner prescription-lens insert. If you wear prescription glasses, take the insert details to your optician to discuss suitable lenses and fitting. This differs from the two separate replacement lens options included with GS4 Max.
